At night, Recoleta becomes one of the most important nightlife centers in the city, where many people with a high-socioeconomic level go.

Its bars and nightclubs are distinctive because of their people.The Floralis Genérica (the Floraris Generic) offers a wonderful night show that you cannot miss. During the night, the flower closes leaving a red shinning and it is reborn the following morning when it opens.

In the night, the lightning of the different architectures and squares gives another color to Recoleta. This makes it more glamorous in many commercial sectors and more mysterious in areas close to the Cementery gates. We might come across “La Llorona” (La Llorona is the ghost of a woman who weeps and searches for her dead offspring she has drowned) or Rufina Cambaceres (a wealthy girl who died at an early age and it is said that she was accidentally buried alive. A cementery worker reported that he found Rufina’s casket lid pushed aside and broken).

Recoleta has many pubs and nightclubs (many of them are thematic or exclusive) to spend a nice evening with friends or simply to meet people.These places respect the general features of the neighborhood: Sophistication, quality and service.

Many nights, Cultural Centers or Exhibition pavilions open their doors and offer exhibitions, parties, festivals, plays, dances and even parades on the front steps of the University of Buenos Aires Law School.
