Recoleta has a great variety of many things: huge green spaces, slopes, colorful flowers, jacaranda trees, old palo borracho (drunken trees) with pink flowers and in the center of all palm trees!

Some Squares and parks like:Carlos Thays Square; Intendente Alvear Square commonly called Francia Square, República Federativa de Brasil Park; Rubén Darío Square, República Oriental del Uruguay Square, República Chile Square, Dante Alighieri Square and Raúl Soldi small Square, among others…are a suitable option for families, couples and group of friends almost every weekend.

Francia Square is the workplace of millions of craftmen “hippies” and peddlers.There and in Naciones Unidas Square (the site of the Floralis Genérica) groups of people join in recreational activities such as acrobatics, capoeira , circus, picnic, painting, etc.

Sitting on a bench in Francia Square or in some square of Recoleta in order to gaze at the perimeter for a while is an experience that any soul thirsty of stories should do once in its life. Foreigners taking pictures, locals, craftmen, sellers of illusions, fortune-tellers, artists (real and fake ones), street artists all is mixed in the magical air of Recoleta.
