It is a downtown residential neighborhood which stands out from the rest for its cultural, historical and architectural value. It is considered "Luxurious and Refined" and it forms part of the area so called Barrio Norte.

Recoleta is specially characterized by its internationally well-known Cementery and by its great amount of museums, cultural spaces, and varied architecture. It is also one of the main tourist centers of the City of Buenos Aires. In the area around the cementery, along Vicente López street, different high end restaurants and bars offer their excellent services to the passer-by.

An entertainment complex is located on the corner of Vicente López and Junín street which includes, among other offerings, cinemas and bookstores. On that very same corner starts a pedestrian street which has also restaurants, cafés, bars and nightclubs.
